Foundation is the first social operating system. For the first ~15 years of the technical age, product design focused on our interactions with the computer. These days, we focus on our interactions with each other. If computers and our interactions with them can be built on operating systems, we figure so too can our community and our interactions with it.
Modeled on social design principles that define how we operate in the real world, the Foundation OS brings to life the experience with the power that only the Internet can bring.
While the social web currently centers around individuals and their friends, we recognize that because identities are multifaceted, the future surrounds communities that bring together people who share common industries, hobbies or localities. With people moving to the center of the web, now is the best time to make this vision a reality.
